High Adventure Backpacking at Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Wind River Range. We will visit Yellowstone National Park, Old Faithful, Grand Tetons National Park and backpack in the Wind River Range.
Minimum of 2 adults, 6 Scouts, maximum 20 participants. At least one adult for every 3 Scouts. Each adult over age 21 will drive a rental vehicle. Scouts must be age 14 or older.
Adults must be registered Scouters with current (within 2 years) YPT, Wilderness First Aid, CPR, Hazardous Weather (online), plus NCAC's BCOLS course.
All participants must attend a series of three crew shakedown hikes of 10 miles or more with a 35-pound pack.

Meet at the Ranger Station at 8AM
May 4-5, 2024, Appalachian Trail, Route 7 to Harpers Ferry, WV.
All participants must attend three crew meetings for planning, training and preparation. First meeting is February 3, 2024, 10:00 am
Fly from Dulles to Salt Lake City, UT, leaving on Southwest airlines June 22nd at 6:25 am arriving at 12:30 pm, pickup rental vans/SUVs, drive to Wyoming, return leaving Salt Lake City June 29th at 2:15 pm arriving at Dulles at 11:55 pm.
Saturday June 22 - Fly to Salt Lake City, drive to Campground
Sunday June 23 - Drive to Yellowstone, see old Faithful, drive to Grand Tetons, day hike of 6 miles
Monday June 24 - Day hike of 9 miles, chill out in the pool near Campsite
Tuesday June 25 - Start from Big Sandy Trailhead to Lonesome Lake 9 miles
Wednesday June 26 - Lonesome Lake to Dutch Oven Lake 11 miles
Thursday June 27 - Dutch Oven Lake to Grave Lake 8 miles
Friday June 28 - Grave Lake to Skull Lake 9 miles
Saturday June 29 - Skull Lake to Big Sandy Trailhead 10 miles drive to Pinedale, showers, pizza, evening show
Sunday June 30th - Drive back to Salt Lake City and fly home
