Summer Camp 2026

July 5-11, 2026

Camp Freedom,  Heritage Scout Reservation

Farmington, PA

This summer, Troop 1396 is heading to the heart of the Laurel Highlands for an unforgettable week at Heritage Scout Reservation in southwestern Pennsylvania. Surrounded by towering forests and centered around the stunning 270-acre Lake Courage, Heritage offers the perfect backdrop for classic Scouting adventure—where mornings start with lake mist and evenings end around a crackling campfire under the stars.

Scouts will dive into a full week of outdoor excitement, teamwork, and personal growth. From boating, swimming, and fishing on the lake to archery, shooting sports, nature exploration, and camp-wide evening programs, every day is packed with opportunities to challenge yourself, build confidence, and live the Scout Oath and Law alongside fellow Scouts.

Heritage Scout Reservation is also known for its outstanding merit badge program, with over 50 merit badges offered across a wide range of interests. Scouts can work on outdoor favorites like rowing and nature, explore creative and hands-on skills, or even tackle modern badges such as AI and Cybersecurity. First-year Scouts can build a strong foundation through the Trail to First Class program, while older Scouts can take on high-adventure experiences like rock climbing and mountain biking.

Most of all, summer camp at Heritage is about friendship, independence, and memories that last a lifetime. It’s where Scouts grow as leaders, try new things, and return home with new skills, confidence, and stories they’ll never forget.
